Gold Coast Touch Association send teams to the Metro Cup competition hosted by Brisbane Metropolitan Touch Association. Metro Cup is held July to November each year and Gold Coast teams and players have a strong history of results in the competition. Previously Gold Coast players would have to represent other clubs at Metro Cup but since 2018 GCTA have entered its own teams for players to train locally and remain with GCTA through the senior representative pathway.
2021 saw the Men’s Premier team reign victorious and it is hoped this will lay a platform for GCTA teams to build on this success for years to come.
